USDA Extends Deadline On Crop Insurance Premium Payments

IABRN — Farmers around the country are still working hard to get their crops in after a long and slow growing season. Because of this, the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) has extended the date at which they will begin to charge interest on unpaid crop insurance premiums.

USDA Undersecretary Bill Northey talked with us at the NAFB Convention in Kansas City, MO. We talked about the premium deadline extension until February 1st. Northey cites the terrible fall we have seen all across the country.
