Northwest Iowa — It appears that both of the school bond issues that were voted on Tuesday did pass.
For the Northwest Iowa Community College Referendum (60% of all votes needed to pass):
Cherokee County
54 yes (83.08%)
11 no (16.92%)
Lyon County
556 yes (74%)
194 no (26%)
O’Brien County
2104 yes (74.4%)
725 no (25.6%)
Osceola County
177 yes (74%)
62 no (26%)
Sioux County
971 yes (71.93%)
379 no (28.07%)
So, doing some quick calculations, it appears that the NCC referendum has passed by 73.8%. It needed 60% to pass. The results are unofficial until they are first compiled by the controlling county, which in this case is Sioux County — and then they must be canvassed to be official.
