1:30 p.m. – Mini Rod Tractor Pulls, at the Sheldon Horse Arena (1 mile North of Casey’s on Washington Ave) FREE Bring your lawn chairs!
4:00 p.m. – Bean Bag Tournament (NEW!) Sheldon City Park – Family Friendly event to raise funds for the American Cancer Society. Pre-registration required & due by FRIDAY AUG. 24th
5:00 – 8:00 p.m. – Fun Night in the Park (NEW!) Live music by Thistle & Lace, interactive games for the whole family (Jenga, yard dominoes, frisbee toss, human ring toss, and more!), and a SCAT $5 fundraiser meal.

6:30 – 11:00 a.m. – Fly-In Pancake Breakfast & Aircraft Display, Taking place at Sheldon Regional Airport.
9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. – Union Depot Open House & Guest Artisan Demonstrations, taking place at the historical Sheldon Depot. Enjoy free popcorn and lemonade. Kids can create their own monster, mermaid or unicorn slime!
9:00 a.m. – Noon & after the parade – 6:00 pm. – Sheldon Prairie Museum, Located downtown at 4th Ave & 10th St. Tour the 1908 Carnegie Library display.
9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. – Arts & Crafts in the Park, Crafts & vendors in the City Park
9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. – Classic Car Show, Sheldon High School parking lot. Registration from 9:00 a.m. – Noon.
10:00 a.m. – Veterans Opening Ceremony, At the City Park Armed Services Memorial.
10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. – Prairie Arts Historical Park, located on Highway 18.
10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. – Hy-Vee Health Mobile, Blood pressure, blood sugar, and BMI calculations.
10:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. – Inflatables, Mini Ferris Wheel, Mini Train, West End of the City Park
ALL DAY – Food booths will be open in the City Park
12:00 – 1:00 p.m. – Noon Kiwanis Duck Dive, (drawing at approximately 3:30 pm – immediately following the parade) in the City Park. Purchase a1 duck for $5, 5 for $20, or $25 for $100. Chance to $100 for $1,000 in Sheldon Dollars.
2:00 p.m. – Sheldon Celebration Days Parade, lineup begins at 1:00 p.m.
Immediately Following the Parade – Omaha Street Percussion – Energetic, unorthodox percussion performance in the City Park.
Entertainment in the Park – ALL FREE!
11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. – Thistle & Lace – Live Music, Performing on stage.
11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. – Steve Russell – Comic Juggler, strolling through the City Park.
11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. – Jerry Frasier – Comic Magician – strolling through the City Park.
10:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. & 3:30 – 4:30 p.m. – Mr. Twister – Located under the big red tent near the inflatables.
