Sandy Hollow will host a Family Fishing event on Saturday, June 13th, from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
All ages are welcome, with children 8 and under requiring an adult. Activities include fishing instruction, a casting contest, fishing time, lunch, and giveaways. Poles and bait are provided, or participants may bring their own.
There is no cost, and park entry fees are waived during event hours. The program is cosponsored by the Sioux Center Library and the Sioux County Sportsmen’s Club. Participants 16 and older must have a valid fishing license to actively fish. Registration is required; online registration closes at 11 a.m. the day before.
