Saturday, March 22nd, it is Hunter Safety Field Day at the Prairie Woods Nature Center.
Kids ages 11-and-over are invited to join us at the Prairie Woods Nature Center for this Hunter Safety Field Day. You will need to do two things online: register for class with a fee from the Iowa DNR at www.gooutdoorsiowa.com and take the online portion of the course at www.huntered.com.
This half-day class will cover firearm safety, hunter ethics, hunting laws and much more. A final exam will be given at the end of class. Please dress for both indoor and outdoor weather.
The class runs from 8:30 a.m. to noon and again from 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
