The O’Brien County Conservation Board is looking forward to hosting guided/self-guided experiences at our parks this summer. Public programming will be taking on a new look this summer. Join the naturalist for a different kind of outdoor fun.
The “Water’s Edge” will be geared towards youth and their families; however, all people are invited to attend. This program will help participants explore the plants and animals that live in and along the edge of the pond. Meet near the beach at Douma Park near Sanborn on Tuesday, July 28 from 9:00 until 11:00 a.m. (Note this is a date change from the conservation board newsletter publication.)
The naturalist will welcome you and your group to give you an introduction and instructions. Your group must not include more than ten participants. Take-home materials will be provided, and stations will be marked along the trail for your enjoyment. If at any point, your group encounters another along the trail, please announce your presence and allow a safe passing distance.
The naturalist looks forward to helping you enjoy and explore the outdoors. Families are encouraged to attend together. Look forward to more of these types of programs during Summer 2020.
