The City of Sheldon reminds the public that winter Fireworks are only allowed between the hours of 9:00 a.m. on New Year’s Eve, December 31 and 12:30 a.m. on New Year’s Day. Therefore, the firework window for New Year’s Eve is now 15 hours and just a half hour on New Year’s Day.
The Everly Dance is on Saturday, January 3rd at the Hap Kettleson Community Center in Everly, Iowa. Doors open at 6:15 p.m., and the dancing runs from 7:00 to 10:30

Crunch for a Cause will be held on Monday, January 19, from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Taco John’s in Sheldon. The fundraiser supports efforts to conquer cancer in O’Brien County and is sponsored by PK Enterprises, Taco John’s, and Conquering Cancer 4 O’Brien County.
