Akron Man Facing More Sex Abuse Charges, This Time In Plymouth County

Akron, Iowa — An Akron man who was arrested by Sioux County authorities this week on child sex abuse charges was arrested on similar charges in Plymouth County the week before his Sioux County arrest.

According to the Plymouth County Sheriff’s Office, 64-year-old Kevin James Jacobs was arrested on Plymouth County warrants for four counts of 2nd Degree Sexual Abuse, which are Class B Felonies, and one count of 3rd Degree Sexual Abuse, which is a Class D Felony.

Plymouth County authorities say the warrants were the result of an investigation in which a minor child alleged that Jacobs had touched the child inappropriately. He was taken into custody and booked into the Plymouth County Jail.

Jacobs is charged in Sioux County for allegedly committing sexual abuse of his step-granddaughter while camping in a Sioux County park near Hawarden. In that case, he’s charged with 2nd Degree Sexual Abuse, which is a Class B Felony.
