Peterson, Iowa — Five individuals face felony charges in connection with a rural Peterson burglary that happened in late August of 2019.
Clay County authorities say they completed a 4-month investigation of a rural residential burglary sometime between the afternoon of August 27th and the early morning hours of August 28th. Deputies say a large safe containing cash, jewelry and firearms was stolen in that burglary.
Authorities say an extensive investigation led to the issuance of arrest warrants for Hunter Gentry, Elsa Buhr, Nathaniel Steffens, Forest Trosin, and Shae Royster on charges of Theft in the 1st Degree, a Class C Felony, Burglary in the 3rd Degree, a Class D Felony, and Criminal Mischief in the 3rd Degree, an Aggravated Misdemeanor.
Deputies say all five subjects were arrested and transported to the Clay County Jail, where, at last report, they were being held on $25,000 cash-only bonds.
