Orange City, Iowa — A college team’s bus and the Taco John’s restaurant received thousands of dollars in damage in a collision recently in Orange City.
The Orange City Police Department reports that 26-year-old Kasandra Stolz of Fremont, Nebraska was driving a 2017 Ford bus, owned by Midland University.
The report says that the bus had stopped at Taco John’s so the team and staff could eat. When they were leaving, the driver allegedly drove the bus through the drive-thru lane. The officer says the lane is “very narrow.” The officer reports that the top left side of the bus scraped the awning and soffet of the building, and the impact also caused some damage to the stucco siding of the building.
Midland’s bus sustained $2200 in damages, but Taco John’s restaurant building sustained $15,575 in damages.
