Rock Valley, Iowa — A Rock Valley man ended up in the Sioux County Jail early Saturday, following a traffic stop by a Rock Valley police officer.
Court records indicate that around 12:30 am Saturday, a Rock Valley police officer allegedly observed a car run a stop sign. The officer says he could smell the odor of marijuana as he walked up to the vehicle.
A search of the vehicle reportedly yielded two unopened THC vape pens in the vehicle, along with a plastic container that contained a quantity of marijuana wax, along with raw marijuana.
The car’s driver, 34-year-old Raymond Glaser, of Rock Valley, reportedly told the deputy that he had been smoking marijuana earlier in the evening. Authorities say a Drug Recognition Expert reportedly determined that Glaser was under the influence of marijuana and alcohol at the time of the incident, and he was placed under arrest on charges of: Failure to affix a drug tax stamp, a Class D Felony; Possession of Marijuana, a Serious Misdemeanor; Possession of marijuana wax and THC, a Serious Misdemeanor; and OWI, also a Serious Misdemeanor.
He was transported the Sioux County Jail.
