Ashton, Iowa– A Doon man was taken to the hospital after an accident near Ashton on Sunday, March 16, 2025.
The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office reports that at about 12:55 p.m., 69-year-old Harlyn Becker of Doon was driving a 2025 Chevy eastbound on 230th Street, one mile east of Ashton’s north side.
The report says that Becker failed to make the curve turning north onto Olive Avenue. The Chevy slid sideways and rolled into the east ditch, coming to rest on its wheels, but both side curtain airbags deployed.
The Ashton Ambulance took Becker to Osceola Regional Health Center Hospital.
Becker’s Chevy sustained $20,000 in damages.
