Fire Department Called To High School. Twice.

Sheldon, Iowa — The Sheldon Fire Company was called to the Sheldon High School twice this past Friday, July 19th.

The first call came in as a general fire alarm around 11:45 Friday morning. Firefighters responded, but were unable to find a reason for the alarm to have been activated.

Then around 1:30 Friday afternoon they were called to the high school again, and again it was a false alarm.

Assistant Fire Chief Brad Hindt tells KIWA that apparently the fire alarm was caused by the cleaning of the school’s air conditioning system.
