Rock Rapids, Iowa — Five people were taken to a hospital after a crash near Rock Rapids on Tuesday afternoon, August 22nd.
The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office reports that about 4:40 p.m., 29-year-old Ashley Wulf of Harrisburg, SD was driving a 2016 Ford Fusion northbound on Highway 75, about two miles south of Rock Rapids, when she attempted to make a left turn on to 180th Street and was struck by a southbound 2009 Buick, driven by 37-year-old Christopher Graber of Dodgeville, Wisconsin.
The Lyon County Ambulance Squad took Graber, the three occupants of his vehicle and Wulf to Sanford Rock Rapids Hospital.
Both vehicles were estimated as being a total loss.
Wulf was cited on a charge of failure to yield upon making a left turn.
The Sheriff’s Office says the Rock Rapids Fire Department and Dusty’s Auto Body also assisted at the scene.
