Sanborn, Iowa — A Hartley woman was injured after her vehicle side swiped a mobile home near Sanborn on Tuesday, September 20th.
The O’Brien County Sheriff’s Office reports that at about 1:22 pm on Tuesday, 47-year-old Rock Bergeron of Greenville, Michigan was driving a 1993 GMC pulling a mobile home westbound on Highway 18, west of Sanborn. Twenty-seven-year-old Kathleen Halbur of Hartley was driving a 2007 Dodge Durango eastbound on Highway 18. According to the report, Halbur crossed the center line and side swiped the mobile home. Halbur fled the scene of the accident. Halbur’s Durango was located six hours later, abandoned in Sanborn in a grove of trees/field on the edge of town. Halbur was located later.
The Durango received $2,000 damage; the mobile home received $2,000 damage.
Halbur reported minor injuries but did not need medical assistance.
