Hull Man Injured After Losing Control Of His Truck

Boyden, Iowa — A 64-year old Hull man suffered minor injuries when he rolled his truck into a ditch northeast of Boyden Tuesday morning.

The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office says the crash happened around 7:40 Tuesday morning on Kiwi Avenue, northeast of Boyden. Deputies say Brian Kleinwolterink was southbound on Kiwi Avenue in a 2013 Peterbilt feed truck when he lost control of the vehicle, entered the west ditch and rolled the truck onto its side.

According to authorities, Kleinwolterink was transported, by the Boyden Ambulance, to the Sanford Sheldon Medical Center for treatment of his injuries.

Deputies estimate the damage to Kleinwolterink’s Peterbilt at approximately $10-thousand. They say he was cited for Failure To Maintain Control of a Motor Vehicle.

The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by the Boyden Fire Department, and Boyden Ambulance.
