Ireton Man Transferred To Sioux City Hospital After Crashing ATV

Ireton, Iowa — A 68-year-old Ireton man was injured late Saturday afternoon as the result of an ATV crash on private property southwest of Ireton.

According to a report from the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office, shortly after 4:20 Saturday afternoon, Randall Lehman of Ireton was driving a 2009 Polaris Ranger side-by-side ATV on private property when the ATV went out of control and rolled, throwing Lehman from the vehicle.

Deputies say Lehman was transported by the Ireton Ambulance to the Floyd Valley Hospital in Le Mars, and later transferred to MercyOne in Sioux City, for treatment.

Deputies estimate damage to the ATV at about $250.

The sheriff’s office was assisted by the Ireton Ambulance and Ireton Fire Department.
