Sioux Center, Iowa — A LeMars man struck a railroad crossing gate on Friday, September 23rd near Sioux Center.
The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office reports that at about 10:22 am on Friday, 42-year-old Wade Ruden of LeMars was driving a 2013 Chevrolet Tahoe eastbound on 420th Street, one mile southwest of Sioux Center. According to the report, Ruden struck a a BNSF Railway crossing gate.
The Tahoe received $700 damage. The railroad crossing gate received $2,000 damage.
No injuries were reported.
