Maurice Teen Injured In Single-Vehicle Crash

Orange City, Iowa — A Maurice teen was transported to the hospital following a one-vehicle rollover crash near Orange City early this morning (Friday, January 26th).

Sioux County authorities say the crash happened two miles west of Orange City on 440th Street, shortly after 6:00 this (Friday) morning.

Deputies say 18-year old Mitchell Van Regenmorter, of Maurice, was eastbound on 440th Street in a 2008 Ford F-150 pickup, when he lost control of the vehicle, entered the north ditch, struck a field driveway and an electrical pole before rolling.

Authorities say Van Regenmorter was transported to the Orange City Health System Hospital by Orange City Ambulance. The extent of Van Regenmorter’s injuries was not released.

Deputies estimate damage to Van Regenmorter’s Ford at about $12-thousand.
