Minnesota Woman Arrested On Multiple Lyon County Warrants

Larchwood, Iowa — A Fairmont, Minnesota woman was arrested on multiple warrants Tuesday (3/17/2020).

According to the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office, 38-year-old Rachel Ann Spencer was arrested on warrants charging 2 counts of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Fraudulent Practice 5th Degree, Providing False Identification Information, Forgery, Possession of Controlled Substance-Methamphetamine 1st Offense, Possession of Controlled Substance-Marijuana 1st Offense, and Failure to Provide Proof of Financial Liability.

According to court documents, the Forgery charge, which is a Class D Felony, stems from an incident in which Spencer was allegedly unable to present a valid insurance card for the vehicle in her possession. She is alleged to have given deputies a false name. She is then accused of signing the ticket using her sister’s name. The Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Marijuana charges are both Serious Misdemeanors.

The charges against Spencer stem from a traffic stop back in October of last year. Following her arrest she was transported to the Lyon County Jail in Rock Rapids.
