OC Teen Injured In Monday Night Crash

Orange City, Iowa — An Orange City teen was injured in a single-vehicle crash Monday evening near Orange City.

According to the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office, shortly before 10:00 Monday evening, a 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt, driven by 18-year-old Devin Heronemus, of Orange City, was northbound on Ironwood Avenue, a mile north of Orange City, when he lost control of the vehicle and entered the east ditch.

Deputies say Heronemus was transported by the Orange City Ambulance to Orange City Area Health for treatment of his injuries.

The Chevrolet sustained approximately $9,000 in damage.

Heronemus was reportedly cited for failure to maintain control of a motor vehicle.

The sheriff’s office was assisted by the Orange City Police Department, Orange City Ambulance and Orange City Fire Department.
