Sibley, Iowa — An Oklahoma man was injured in a single-vehicle rollover crash northwest of Sibley Tuesday afternoon.
The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office says the accident happened when a 2010 Ford F-250 pickup, driven by 75-year old Ross Barnett of Skiatook, Oklahoma was traveling eastbound on Highway 9, near the intersection with Nettle Avenue. Authorities say Barnett’s pickup drifted off the roadway and entered the north ditch, then veered across Highway 9, entering the south ditch, where it rolled over and knocked down a road sign.
Officials say Barnett sustained injury to hid neck, and was transported to the Osceola Community Hospital by the Sibley Ambulance.
Damage to Barnett’s pickup was estimated at $18-thousand.
The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by the Sibley Ambulance and Sibley Fire Department.
