Sioux Center, Iowa — A Sioux Center man was injured in an accident near Sioux Center on Thursday, December 24th.
The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office reports that at about 6:05 pm on the 24th, 69-year-old Robert Wobbema of Sioux Center was driving a 2011 Ford F-150 southbound on Highway 75, one mile south of Sioux Center. Twenty-three-year-old Benjamin Sims of Sioux Center was driving a 2011 Chevrolet Impala southbound on Highway 75, behind Wobbema. According to the report, Wobbema slowed to turn left onto 420th Street and Sims struck Wobbema.
The Ford received $3000 damage. The Impala received $5,000 damage.
Wobbema reported minor injuries and refused further medical treatment.
