One Vehicle Accident Outside Of Sheldon

Sheldon, Iowa — One person suffered minor injuries from a crash southwest of Sheldon on Monday, August 31st.

The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office reports that at 8:31 pm, 18-year-old Logan Proffitt of Beaman was driving a 2012 Dodge Ram westbound on 370th street, six miles southwest of Sheldon. According to the report, when he entered a curve in the roadway he lost control of the vehicle, which entered the north ditch and rolled.

A passenger in Proffitt’s vehicle was transported by the Sheldon Ambulance to Sanford Sheldon Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries.

The Dodge sustained approximately $30,000 in damage.

The sheriff’s office was assisted by the Sheldon Fire Department, Sheldon Ambulance, and Iowa State Patrol.
