Paullina, Iowa — A Paullina man racked up multiple charges as the result of a reported domestic assault Sunday morning in Paullina.
According to court records, 58-year-old David Arnold Stanley, of Paullina, was arrested about 7:30 Sunday morning for allegedly assaulting his domestic partner in the home they share in Paullina.
Court records indicate that Stanley was arrested and charged with a pair of felonies: 3rd Offense Possession of a Controlled Substance, a Class D Felony; and Assault Causing Serious Injury, also a Class D Felony. In addition, Stanley is charged with Domestic Abuse Assault, a Serious Misdemeanor.
According to online court records, Stanley made an appearance in court Monday, at which time a Preliminary Hearing in the case was set for Thursday, January 30th in O’Brien County Magistrate Court. An Order of Protection was also issued.
