Paullina, Iowa — A Peterson woman was taken to the hospital after an accident in Paullina.
The Paullina Police Department reports that about 10:05 a.m. on Wednesday, June 5, 2019, 66-year-old Pamela Klatt of Peterson was riding a 1992 Honda motorcycle southbound on Main Street in Paullina. Eighty-two-year-old Myron Hansen of Paullina was northbound on Main in a 2015 Dodge pickup.
The report says that Klatt told the officer that she looked to her right at a pedestrian, and when she looked forward again, she saw the Hansen pickup in her path.
The officer says the pickup had been diagonally-parked and backed out of the space, when the motorcycle struck the pickup.
The Primghar Ambulance took Klatt to Mercy One Hospital in Primghar.
Klatt’s Honda motorcycle sustained about $2000 in damages, and Hansen’s Dodge pickup sustained about $500 in damages.
According to the report, no charges have been filed.
