Primghar, Iowa — A Primghar man has been arrested on a felony drug charge.
According to a criminal complaint filed with the O’Brien County Clerk of Court’s Office by the county sheriff’s office, 31-year-old Steven Dieck of Primghar is accused of the possession of a controlled substance. He was arrested on Monday, June 12th.
In his statement, the deputy states that Dieck was found to be in possession of a white crystalline substance believed to be methamphetamine after a field test kit indicated the substance was positive for methamphetamine.
Dieck was charged with possession of a controlled substance, third or subsequent offense, a class D felony. If convicted, Dieck could face up to five years in prison.
He faces a preliminary hearing on Friday, June 23rd.
At last report, Dieck remained in the O’Brien County Jail in Primghar.
