Primghar Man Crashes Motorcycle, Passenger Hospitalized

Dickens, Iowa — The passenger on a motorcycle operated by a Primghar man was transported to the hospital late Saturday morning, after a crash in northeastern Clay County.

Clay County deputies say the crash took place around 11:15 Saturday morning (June 24th), about 5-1/2 miles north of Dickens.  According to authorities, a 2007 Yamaha V-Star motorcycle, operated by 38-year old Kevin Jenness, of Primghar, was attempting to manage a curve at the 290th Avenue and 300th Street intersection, when the bike went out of control, causing it to leave the roadway.

A passenger on the motorcycle, whose identity hasn’t been released by Clay County authorities, was transported by ambulance to the Spencer Municipal Hospital.

Deputies say they cited Jenness for Failure to have a Valid Motorcycle License, and Failure to Prove Insurance.

Damage to Jenness’ motorcycle was estimated to be about $15-hundred.
