Heron Lake, Minnesota — A Rock Rapids man was taken to a hospital after an accident near Heron Lake, Minnesota on Sunday, August 15, 2021.
The Minnesota State Patrol reports that about 7:25 p.m., 35-year-old Bernardo Aguilar Barrera of Rock Rapids was driving a 2007 Chevy Suburban northeastbound on Highway 60, on the northwest edge of Heron Lake. Eighty-one-year-old Delores Janssen of Lakefield, Minnesota was southwestbound on 60 in a 2014 Ford Escape.
The report contains few details about the actual accident, saying only that the vehicles collided.
The Heron Lake Ambulance took Aguilar Barrera to Windom Area Health Hospital.
The Minnesota State Patrol says the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, the Heron Lake Fire Department, and Heron Lake EMS assisted with the response to the accident.
