Rock Valley Man Taken To Hospital After His Leg Was Run Over In Orange City

Orange City, Iowa– A Rock Valley man was taken to the hospital after an accident in Orange City on Monday, May 6, 2024

The Orange City Police Department reports that at about 8:40 a.m., 33-year-old Mario Martinez Adame of Hull was operating a 2023 Case skidloader at 1501 Canal Drive Southeast in the southeast part of Orange City.

The report says that Martinez Adame and 44-year-old Ricardo Avila of Rock Valley were working at a job site. Avila was working behind the skidloader when Martinez Adame was backing it up, and Martinez Adame did not see Avila and ran over Avila’s leg.

The Orange City Ambulance took Avila to Orange City Health System Hospital.
