Ireton, Iowa — A Rock Valley man was taken to a hospital after an accident on Thursday, November 9th near Ireton.
According to the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office, at about 11:40 p.m., 21-year-old Carter Penning of Rock Valley was driving a 2016 Chevrolet Malibu northbound on Eagle Avenue, two miles north of Ireton, when he lost control of the vehicle, which entered the west ditch.
The Ireton Ambulance took Penning to Sioux Center Health. The Chevrolet sustained an estimated $5,000 in damage.
Penning was cited for Failure to Maintain Control.
The Sheriff’s Office tells us the Ireton Fire Department and Ireton Ambulance Squad assisted with the response to the accident.
