Rock Valley, Iowa — A Rock Valley man escaped injury in a motor vehicle mishap that happened Saturday morning near Rock Valley.
According to the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office, the mishap happened shortly after 10:00 Saturday morning on Highway 18, one mile west of Rock Valley.
Authorities say 51-year old Michael McAvoy of Rock Valley was westbound on Highway 18 in a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado pickup pulling a trailer, when the trailer separated from the pickup, struck a bridge guardrail and overturned on the roadway.
No injuries wee reported in the mishap.
There was no damage to McAvoy’s pickup, but the crash did approximately $15-hundred damage to the trailer and $1-hundred damage to the guardrail, according to deputies.
