Rock Valley Teen Injured In Single Vehicle Crash

Rock Valley, Iowa — A mid-day traffic crash sent a Rock Valley teen to the hospital Monday.

According to Sioux County authorities, at 12:00 noon Monday, the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office investigated a single-vehicle accident that occurred on Highway 18, five miles west of Rock Valley.

Deputies say a 2001 Pontiac G6, driven by 17-year-old Jada Kooima, of Rock Valley, was eastbound on Hwy 18 when she lost control of the vehicle and entered the north ditch.

According to authorities, Kooima was transported by the Rock Valley Ambulance to Hegg Health Center where she was treated for minor injuries.

The Pontiac sustained approximately $6,000 in damage.

The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Rock Valley Ambulance, Rock Valley Fire Department and Rock Valley Police Department.
