Rock Valley, Iowa — A Rock Valley teen was taken to a hospital after an ATV accident near Rock Valley on Sunday, June 22nd.
The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office reports that at about 3:55 p.m., 16-year-old Parker Van Schepen of Rock Valley was driving a 2019 Yamaha Four-Wheel ATV eastbound on 300th Street, a mile northwest of Rock Valley, when he lost control of the ATV, which entered the north ditch and rolled. Van Schepen was ejected from the ATV, but was wearing a helmet.
The Rock Valley Ambulance took Van Schepen to Hegg Health Center in Rock Valley.
The sheriff’s office says the Rock Valley Fire Department, Rock Valley Ambulance Squad and the Rock Valley Police Department assisted with the response to the accident.
