Sheldon, Iowa — A Sheldon man’s pickup struck an electrical utility junction box on Tuesday, January 3rd in Sheldon.
The Sheldon Police Department reports that at about 2:00 pm on Tuesday, 21-year-old Blake Mulder of Sheldon was driving a 2005 GMC Sierra pickup westbound on East 6th Street, in Sheldon. According to the report, Mulder turned west from 19th Avenue, was accelerating hard, lost control of his pickup, and struck an electrical utility junction box.
The GMC received $6,500 damage; the electrical utility junction box, owned by MidAmerican received $8,000 damage.
Mulder was cited with a charge of Careless Driving.
