Sheriff’s Office Wants Help Solving Theft Cases

Hawarden and Rock Valley, Iowa — The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office is looking for the public’s help to solve two theft cases.

They report that on Wednesday afternoon, December 20th their deputies investigated a report of a theft that was reported by a business north of Hawarden. Upon further investigation, it was discovered that someone allegedly stole approximately 30 metal vehicle wheel rims.

Deputies believe the theft occurred sometime between Friday, December 15th and Wednesday, December 20th.

A separate theft report was investigated in the early hours of Thursday, December 21st. Sioux County Sheriff’s deputies advise that this theft is alleged to have happened on 360th Street, nine miles southwest of Rock Valley. Upon further investigation, deputies believe that someone stole two traffic lights from the Rock River bridge.

Deputies believe the theft occurred sometime between Wednesday, December 20th and Thursday, December 21st.
