Sioux Center, Iowa — One person was taken to the hospital in the aftermath of a two-vehicle collision near Sioux Center early Tuesday afternoon.
According to Sioux County authorities, the crash occurred when a 2002 Chevrolet Silverado pickup, driven by 34-year-old Nicholas Vande Kieft, of Sioux Center, was northbound on Highway 75, and had stopped for oncoming vehicles before attempting to turn onto 360th Street, when he was struck from behind by a northbound 2019 Jeep Compass, driven by 60-year-old David Cameron or Herman, Nebraska.
