The first of the collisions happened during the noon hour Monday at the intersection of 370th Street and Highway 75, a half-mile north of Sioux Center.

According to authorities, 87-year old Dorothy Nibbelink, of Sioux Center, was westbound on 370th Street in a 2010 Dodge Ram pickup, when, deputies say, she failed to yield for the stop sign at Highway 75, colliding with a southbound 2003 Ford pickup pulling a flatbed trailer, driven by 36-year old Patrick Richter of Sioux Center.
