Larchwood, Iowa — A Sioux Falls man faces a felony charge following an incident at Grand Falls Casino and Resort during the very early morning hours Sunday (November 7th).
According to authorities, the Casino contacted the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office at 3:22 am Sunday to advise of an intoxicated individual who was refusing to leave casino property. When a Lyon County Deputy arrived on scene he found the man in the main lobby of the casino. The Deputy says the man exhibited signs of drug induced intoxication and had a strong odor of marijuana being emitted from his person.
19-year-old Aleu Keen, of Sioux Falls, was placed under arrest and taken to the Lyon County Jail. After arriving at the jail, authorities allegedly found a green leafy substance inside one of his coat pockets, after he had been warned about bringing intoxicants into the jail. Deputies say the substance field tested positive for marijuana. As a result, Keen was charged with Introducing Intoxicants or Drugs Into a Correctional Institution, which is a Class D Felony, as well as Possession of Marijuana, which is a Serious Misdemeanor.
