Klondike, Iowa — A Sioux Falls woman has been arrested on a warrant for a felony theft charge.
According to a criminal complaint filed with the Lyon County Clerk of Court’s Office by the county sheriff’s office, 49-year-old Laura Seivert of Sioux Falls is accused of stealing a vehicle near Klondike (rural Larchwood) about a year ago. She was arrested on the warrant on Thursday.
In his statement, the deputy says that on December 30th, 2023, Seivert took a motor vehicle near Klondike, with the apparent intent of depriving the rightful owner of it.
Seivert was charged with second-degree theft, a class D felony. If convicted, she could face up to five years in prison.
She faces a preliminary hearing on Monday, December 30th.
At last report, Seivert remained in the Lyon County Jail in Rock Rapids in lieu of a $5000 bond.
