Rock Valley, Iowa — An Alcester, South Dakota man was taken to the hospital in the aftermath of a single-vehicle rollover late Friday morning.
According to Sioux County authorities, around 11:20 Friday morning 62-year-old Warren Johnson, of Alcester, was southbound on Cherry Avenue, about 11 miles southwest of Rock Valley, in a 2002 Ford Explorer when he lost control of the SUV, entered the east ditch and rolled.
Deputies say Johnson was transported by the Hawarden Ambulance to Hawarden Regional Healthcare for treatment of minor injuries.
The Ford sustained approximately $5,000 damage.
Johnson was cited for failure to maintain control of a motor vehicle.
The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Hudson Fire Department, Hudson Ambulance, Hawarden Fire Department, Hawarden Ambulance and Sioux County Conservation.
