Two Injured In Plymouth County Motorcycle Accident

Plymouth County Iowa — Two people were injured in a motorcycle accident in rural Plymouth County on Saturday, August 28th.

According to the Plymouth County Sheriff’s Office at 3:20 pm on Saturday, 39-year-old Christos Kritis of Sioux City was driving a motorcycle on C38, just west of K22. According to the report, Christos lost control of the motorcycle after a group of motorcyclists they were riding with attempted to slow down due to a vehicle blocking the opposite lane of traffic on C38 near K22. The motorcycle went into the north ditch.

Kritis and a passenger, thirty-five-year-old Ashley Kritis, also of Sioux City, sustained non-life threating but serious injuries.

Both individuals were transported to Mercy One hospital in Sioux City, Iowa.

The Plymouth County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Iowa DNR, Le Mars Fire Rescue and Merrill Ambulance.
