Sheldon, Iowa — Two Sheldon residents were injured in an accident on Thursday, November 3rd at a Sheldon intersection.
The Sheldon Police Department reports that at about 7:28 am on Thursday morning, 59-year-old Richard Morgan of Sheldon was driving a 2012 Chevrolet Colorado westbound on 6th Street in Sheldon. 41-year-old Amy Jager of Sheldon was driving a 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe southbound on 3rd Avenue. According to the report, Morgan failed to yield at the intersection, striking Jager’s Tahoe, pushing it into a fire hydrant.
The Colorado received $5,000 damage. The Tahoe received $8,500 damage. The fire hydrant received $1,500 damage.
Jager and Morgan each reported minor injuries but declined any further medical attention.
