Vehicles Collide On Business 60 In Sheldon

sheldon police smallSheldon, Iowa — No injuries were reported in a 2-vehicle crash that happened shortly after 9 am Wednesday in Sheldon.

According to Sheldon Police, the crash happened when a 2014 Ford Fusion, driven by 29-year old Justin Huffman of Sioux City was northbound on Business 60, approaching the intersection with 10th Street.  Police say Huffman was driving in the inside lane, and attempted a right turn onto 10th Street, striking a 1997 Dodge pickup, driven by 80-year old Arthur Beerman of Sheldon, which was northbound in the outside lane.

Police estimate damage to Huffman’s car at $3,800, and damage to the Beerman truck is estimated at $800.  Police say Huffman was cited for Improper Turn.  No injuries were reported.
