Victim Treated In Sioux Falls After Milford Gunshot Injury

Milford, Iowa — The public is not thought to be at risk, but one person was wounded from an apparent accidental firearm discharge in the Iowa Great Lakes area.

According to a release from the Milford Police Department, officers were called to the Lakes Regional Hospital shortly before 3:20 p.m. on Monday. It was determined the incident occurred in the 800 Block of P Avenue in Milford. Initial investigation led the police department to believe that the firearm discharge was accidental, and they have announced that they believe there is no current threat to the public.

They tell us the male victim, identified as Noah Dylan Scott, was transported to Sioux Falls for further medical treatment. The incident is still under investigation. The Milford Police Department was assisted by the Spencer Police Department, as well as the Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office.
