Sheldon, Iowa — Sheldon firefighters were dispatched to Fieldcrest Assisted Living in Sheldon Wednesday afternoon, to a call that may well hold the record for shortest on-scene time ever.
Assistant Fire Chief Brad Hindt says the fire department was paged shortly after 2:00 Wednesday afternoon. He says the call was for a pan that had been left unattended on a range.
The fire department was on the scene for less than five minutes, according to Assistant Chief Hindt.
