Sioux Center, Iowa — A Wisconsin teen was injured in a single-vehicle accident Saturday morning north of Sioux Center.
According to the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office the crash occurred about 8:00 Saturday morning, a mile north of Sioux Center on Highway 75. They say a northbound 2006 Buick Lucerne, driven by 18-year old Samantha Krekel of Cottage Grove, Wisconsin, went out of control, entered the east ditch, and struck a MidAmerican Energy electric utility pole.
Krekel was reportedly transported to the Sioux Center Hospital by Sioux Center Ambulance. Her Buick sustained and estimated $85-hundred in damage.
The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by the Sioux Center Police Department, and the Sioux Center Ambulance.
