O’Brien County — A burn ban is in effect for O’Brien County.
According to a press release from O’Brien County Emergency Management says O’Brien County Board of Supervisors approved a burn ban request for O’Brien County.
The burn ban request was sent to the State Fire Marshal’s Office for review and was approved.
Open burning is prohibited in O’Brien County until conditions that are considered, according to the fire marshal, dangerous to life and property are gone.
Violation of the burn ban is a simple misdemeanor.
