Driver Arrested After Striking Parked Car In Orange City

Orange City, Iowa — An Orange City man earned a trip to jail in the aftermath of a traffic crash in Orange City Monday afternoon.

According to Orange City Police, 27-year-old Ariel Lopez Morales was eastbound on 7th Street Northeast in a 2011 Toyota Camry, when he struck a parked 2016 Dodge Dart, owned by Faith Klein of Alton. Police say after striking the parked vehicle, Lopez Morales’ Toyota rolled onto its roof.

Police report no injuries in the crash, but say Lopez Morales was arrested for 1st Offense OWI, and cited for Driving Without a License and Striking a Parked Vehicle.

Orange City Police were assisted at the scene by the Orange City Fire Department, Orange City Ambulance, and the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office.
