George Man Arrested On Multiple Sex-Related Charges

George, Iowa — A George man is facing felony and misdemeanor sex-related charges following an investigation by the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office.

According to court documents, 31-year-old Robert James Camack is accused of two counts of Indecent Contact With a Child in connection with a pair of incidents that allegedly occurred at a George residence between May and October of 2020, involving a 12-year-old child. Each of the two charges is an Aggravated Misdemeanor.

In addition, Camack is charged with two counts of 3rd Degree Sexual Abuse in connection with incidents that allegedly took place in November of 2020 at Camack’s George residence, and involve a 12-year-old child. Court records do not indicate if there is more than one alleged victim involved. Each of those charges is a Class C Felony.

Upon conviction, the Indecent Contact charges carry a maximum penalty of up to 2-years in jail, along with a fine of $855 to $8,540 on each charge. The two Sexual Abuse charges, upon conviction, carry a potential prison sentence of up to 10 years on each charge.
